Ben, Gwen and Kevin were chasing a DNAlien through an old building.
"This way!" Ben yells, running around a sharp corner, Kevin and Gwen running fast behind him. It was one sharp turn after another as they weaved their way through the old building, all the way down to a basement level. Then Ben stops, Kevin and Gwen stop too as Ben yells: "He got away!"
Kevin yells "Damn it Tennyson, you were supposed to be the one leading, and you lost him!"
"I didn't lose him." Ben says. As he looks down he says, "He just slip away from me."
"What's the difference? " Kevin says, but Ben didn't answer.
“So, now what?" Kevin says as he leans agent a wall, accidentally hitting a switch. The floor begins to shake.
"What'd you do Kevin?" Ben yells.
But before Kevin can come back with a witty comeback a trap door on the floor begins to open taking them by surprise. All three of them fall through.
Kevin was falling first and hit the ground with a thud, landing in a dark room, unable to see his hand in front of his face, groining and cursing as he shook it off. Only to be alerted by Gwen screaming as she falls. He quickly reacts, getting up as he hears Gwen's screams he attempts to catches her, only
using the sounds of her screams to try and find her.
He manges to catches her and stop her from hitting the ground. He could feel her long slender body landing in his arms, her long hair draped over his arms, the feel of her clothes and her smooth skin.
A cocky sneer creeps across his face.
"Thanks" Gwen says, feeling the face of who had her. Feeling a strong brood face with long hair, and... she could swear he was sneering at his accomplishment.
"Thanks Kevin." she says with a smile. Not that he could see her smile in the dark.
Then both hear a thud as Ben hit the floor hard.
"Where are we?" Ben says, standing looking at Gwen. Not that they could see each other.
As Kevin puts Gwen down she illuminates the room with her mana, creating a pink ball of light with her left hand.
All three teens look around their new surroundings. They had landed in a small empty room with no windows, just one door at the far end, and a small steel pedestal in the middle -with a small trinket on it- not even a light switch.
The three are intrigued by the item on the pedestal, they walk over to it.
"What is it Kevin?" Ben asks, standing on Kevin's right.
"Don't know, never seen one of these before." Kevin says as he picked the trinket up to get a better look at it. It was very nice and expensive looking, something that would sell for a lot of money. Kevin grins at the thought of selling it. It was three purple amethyst-like stones in a gold disk. The whole thing was the size of the palm of your hand.
"I've never even seen these symbols before." Kevin says.
Gwen, who is behind Kevin on his left, looks over Kevin's shoulder at the thing. She recognizes the symbols, they look like ones she'd seen in her spell books before.
"I have." Gwen says, grabbing it from Kevin's hand and holding it in her right hand, mana still flowing through her left hand. As soon as Gwen had it in her hand the room started to shake, and not one of the teens thought that the room shaking had anything to do with Gwen touching the object.
Kevin absorbed the steel of the pedestal, and had Ben hand on his watch ready to become an alien, with Gwen still holding on to the trinket, all three look to all the corners of the room trying to find the causes of the shaking. But the shaking just got more and more violent without an explanation as to where the shaking was coming from. Then out of nowhere a ball of light forms a few feet behind Kevin suddenly pulling him backwards towards the now opened portal.
Flying towards it, Ben grips the pedestal quickly, holding on for dear life. Trying to keep Gwen from flying toward the portal like Kevin was, he grabs her hand and keeps a tight grip onto her. With one hand he held the pedestal, with the other he held Gwen as she tries to reach for Kevin.
"Kevin!" Gwen yells, trying to reach for his hand while letting go of the trinket, but missing his hand. She tries time and time again, but without any luck as he slowly heads closer and closer to the portal.
Ben desperately tries to keep her from flying too. Gwen holds Ben's hand tight, she knows if she lets go Ben was the only thing keeping her from flying into the portal as well. She stretches her arm and Ben's arm roughly, pulling and pulling but not letting go of Ben's hand.
"Sorry." Gwen says.
Ben groans, but tells her; "Its OK, just grab Kevin fast before you rip both our arms off."
Gwen just nods yes.
"Gwen!" Kevin yells as he tries to grip at the ground. The wind pulls him towards the portal as he tries just as hard to grab her hand. Then with one last strong gust of wind he goes flying and disappears into the portal, his cries fading away.
"Gwennnnnnnnnnnnn!" They could hear Kevin say.
"Gwen?" Ben says in surprise, as she suddenly lets go of his hand. He sees her trying to run with all the wind blowing her over, making her fall down and stumble. Gwen tries to run to the portal, stumbling and scrambling to her feet at first, then getting the hang of running with the wind, as she sees the trinket flying past her head and in to the portal. It closes a few seconds later just as she get close to it...
'It vanished.' she thinks sadly.
Gwen sank to her knees thinking, 'He's gone. Disappeared through a portal to who knows where. He could be anywhere. He could be in danger.' A sad thought filled her mind as she stayed there, frozen. 'What if I never saw him again?'
Ben goes to her side and puts a comforting hand on her shoulder. He has no idea what he should say to her. He looks at her and sees she is as stiff as a board, tears starting to fall down her face.
'What can I say to her?' Ben thinks looking at her desperate, sad face. He felt bad for her, and for Kevin who could be who knows where. But Kevin was strong, he would be OK. Ben hoped. 'Kevin lived through the null void so he'll be OK. Right?'
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Meanwhile Kevin was awaking.....somehow he had passed out. He could feel grass and dirt under his hands. He was in a field, he guessed as he slowly opened his eye to see trees, bushes, flowers and
plants of all different kinds, as far as the eye could see. That silly trinket was in front of his face, he just stuffed it in his pocket thinking; 'It must have fallen into the portal with me.' He then continued to look around, seeing that he was in a forest.
'It looks like I'm still on earth at least, so that was some good news. Also, the metal of the pedestal is still covering me somehow too, so more good news. But where am I?' he was thinking. 'I could lock onto Gwen's badge.' Siting up he takes out his plummer badge to see that there wasn't even one blip or dot on the screen. 'That cant be.' he thinks confused. 'Even on another planet I should get at least one dot. Right?' He widens the view on his badge, but it's no use, there wasn't a single dot... angrily he shoves the thing back in his pocket.
Kevin just sat there trying to come up with something, he was very annoyed.
His thoughts are interrupted by a scream. It was one he knew so well he couldn't help thinking; 'Gwen!' He jumps to his feet, running through the forest in the direction of the scream.
Weaving around tree after tree, jumping over stumps, around bushes and more trees...

Ben 10: Love Lock - A Gwevin Story
Most teenagers believed the hardest part of the trip to adulthood were the everyday growing pains of school, family and friendships. For Kevin Levin and Gwen Tennyson it also involved being half alien, becoming licensed interstellar members of the Plumbers and the bonus of being team mates with the famous Ben Tennyson.
With all the madness of their young lives from dealing with a range of galactic villains from Aggregor to Vilgax to Diagon, Kevin and Gwen learned to take advantage of every respite they could manage in their short relationship. They used the small, quiet times to nurture their romantic attraction more than when they fought si

Breathe in for luck,
breathe in so deep,
this air is blessed,
you share with me.
It was Friday night. Neither of them had any worries at the time, no aliens to fight, no Ben bothering them, no school the next day, or at least for her, absolutely carefree.
It was just the two of them, sitting on a blanket spread across the green grass. Kevin and Gwen sat there side to side, her head resting on his shoulder. The only noise coming from either one of them was their breathing in of the warm summer night air.
This night is wild,
so calm and dull,
these hearts they race,
from self control.
They hadn't plan

Kevin, could you pull over for a second. I want to ask you something personal,
In an instant, the car slowed and eased over onto the side of the road where it came to a gentle stop.
Gwen shifted in her seat so she was facing him. She smiled when she saw his face had turned slightly scarlet. After all they had been through at the army base and with Paradox, he was still nervous about their relationship, whatever it was at the moment.
Kevin...back there on the base...when...when that space time monster was wreaking havoc, you cared more about fixing the car then, well, fi

This story is very old, but I still love it to death!
On that subject, would you object to me proofreading this and beta-reading, sending you the finished copy? I have to confess, I've had it saved in my documents since you first published it here. lol sorry.
I'd be more than happy to edit it and send it back! (still keeping a copy tho for re-reading purposes.)
I kept all your 'Author's Comments' unchanged and in their original format at the top and bottom of the chapters, so readers can still get your perspective on the story.
